Frank Farrell, MD

Dr. Farrell started in private practice in San Francisco in 1994. He graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his Internship, Residency, and Chief Residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Zion Medical Center in San Francisco. He subsequently completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.In addition to being board-certified in Gastroenterology, he is a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association and a member of the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Farrell has a special interest in colon health and screening colonoscopy.

Cathleen Cabansag, MD

Dr. Cathleen Cabansag joined San Francisco Gastroenterology in 2011. She graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Her love of the Bay Area brought her to San Francisco for her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Gastroenterology at California Pacific Medical where she remains as a faculty member of the Gastroenterology Fellowship. She is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Cabansag is able to assist patients in evaluating and managing all aspects of their gastroenterology needs. She has a special interest in colon cancer screening and women’s health.

Nancy Ho, MD

Dr. Ho graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in 2005, and continued at Northwestern University in Chicago for medical school and internal medicine residency. She completed fellowship training at University of Maryland/National Institutes of Health through the Health Scholar’s Program in 2015. Her research during her time at the NIH focused on immune-mediated diseases such as Chronic Granulomatous Disease, Hyper IgE Syndrome, and eosinophilic esophagitis. After fellowship, she joined the faculty as assistant professor at the Portland VA and Oregon Health and Sciences University until 2020 when she joined San Francisco Gastroenterology. She a board-certified gastroenterologist, and also a member of the American College of Gastroenterologists and the American Gastroenterological Association. She continues to have a special interest in eosinophilic esophagitis and other immune- mediated gastrointestinal disease.
